Elizabeth Byrnes Obituary

Elizabeth Kerry Byrnes, 'Lizz,' age 28, died unexpectedly on August 19, 2014.
Lizz was born in Heidelberg, Germany - an 'army brat' living in Osterholtz-Scharmbeck, Germany, Carlisle, Pa; Ft Hood, Tx; Ft Belvoir, Va; Ft Bliss, Tx; Ft Myer, Va; Ft Monroe, Va; Arizona and Florida.
Lizz had a smile for everyone. Her kind and loving soul, coupled with playful sense of humor, touched all who knew her. She enjoyed swimming in the gulf and hanging with friends. She was a talented singer and songwriter with the voice of an angel - Heaven has gained another beautiful voice. She will be missed and loved forever.
Lizz is survived by her mother, Carol Groene Byrnes, her father, General (Ret.) Kevin P. Byrnes, and stepmother Paula Payton Byrnes; her siblings Patrick, Joe, and Grace, as well as her dog 'Tigger'.
A Memorial Service will be held at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 40 North Orange Ave., Sarasota on Sunday, 24 August. Visitation is at noon followed by a Service at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, Lizz would have appreciated a donation to the Humane Society of Sarasota County, 941-955-4131.

Lizz made me feel the most love ever possibly imagined. Losing her has made me feel like I've lost myself. I fell in love with her the moment I met her and nothing has changed. The only regret in life I have is not expressing my love more for her to her.

Today I lit a candle for Lizz in a church in Provence, where I 'm staying, and thought about the kind, amusing, articulate young woman David and I had the great fortune to meet, not so long ago. My heart breaks for the the Brynes family.
