Rodney Leland Obituary

Funeral services for RODNEY CONANT LELAND of Conroe will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Cashner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2005 at the Funeral Home. Mr. Leland was born October 9, 1924 in Marlborough, Massachusetts and passed away, after a brief battle with pneumonia, on December 22, 2005 in Conroe, Texas. Rod was married fifty-eight years and is survived by his wife, Jean Galloway Leland; his daughter, Anne Leland Arndt and grandchildren, Heather Jean Arndt and Matthew Galloway Arndt of Conroe, Texas; his son Rodney Conant Leland, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Margaret Ranson Leland and grandchildren, Rodney Conant Leland III, Robert Carlyle Leland and Elizabeth Anne Ranson Leland of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is also survived by his brother; Roger B. Leland and wife Lainie, sister; Sarah E. Crawley and husband Arnold. He loved his family dearly and treasured the visits by his grandchildren and their accomplishments. His advice usually was, "just do what's right" and he always followed his own advice.
