Michele was born March 17, 1964 in Pontiac, MI and graduated from Lakeland High School (White Lake) in 1982. She graduated from Central Michigan University in 1986. The family resided in Lansing for several years and moved to Sunfield in 2004. Michele was a member of the Kilpatrick United Brethren Church and active in the Sunfield Parents group. She enjoyed skiing, loved to read and spend time at Guthrie Lake and Mackinac Island. Michele was a wonderful and devoted wife and mother - she loved her family and family time more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Diane Helen Maloney, dad, Richard Lee Vore, and grandparents, Orville and Trudy Vore and Margaret and Howard Benedict. Surviving are her loving husband of 21 years, Gary and her three beloved sons, Jason, Brian, and Kevin. Also surviving are her sister, Janeen (Vore) and husband Scott Flores, stepfather, Bill Maloney (Trudy), niece, Lexi, and the Foltz family, Don and Bonnie, Betsy Louthan, Steve and Beth, Doug and Tracy, and many nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made to the S.P.Y’s Scholarship fund: aka Sunfield Area Sponsors of Programs for Youth, Eaton Community Hospice, American Cancer Society, or the Lakewood Education Foundation. C/O RFH PO Box 36 Sunfield, MI 48890.
The family will receive their friends on Thursday Feb. 26, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. and Friday Feb. 27, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Sunfield United Brethren Church.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. - Saturday Feb. 28, 2009 at the Sunfield United Brethren Church.

Dearest Foltz Family
We were very sorry to hear about Michele's death. We saw her at the Benedict reunion this year at Duane's and Chris's home up north. She reminded Terry, Doug, Connie and myself so much of her mom. Her sweetness was certainly like her mom and grandma Peggy. She is now sharing memories and watching us with both of them and pain free with our Lord. May God Bless and provide for both you and the boys.

Dear Gar -
We were so sad to hear that Michele's cancer had returned. I'm sure, knowing your family and community and church, that the funeral was very special. She looks so pretty and just like we remember her in the picture you've chosen to share on this site. We have pictures of you and Michele and all the other Foltz kids and their significant others in our living room in Sunfield when Josh was first born. He just turned 20 last week.
We are so sorry and praying God's comfort and peace that passes all understanding for you and your boys.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I had no idea Michele was so ill when I saw you all at Walmart only a week ago. I have very fond memories of Michele when you lived on Mitchell St.. We had many nice visits while the kids played. I will remember most her ever-optimistic outlook on everything. She also had such deep faith and a true love of family. Gary and boys and all the family,
You'd think that with everything we've been through we'd have adequate words to express our sorrow to you and somehow bring comfort to your hurting hearts but there simply are no words. Only Jesus can comfort. Hold on to the knowledge that Michele is happy and looking excitedly to what awaits her family when oneday you'll all join her and can be together again. She is complete and living a new life with Jesus that we can only dream about. For those of us left here, our hope endures and our faith remains steadfast knowing that what Michele is now experiencing, we will too one day. But until then,
remember Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to the broken hearted and those crushed in spirit" and remember that many love you and will continue to lift you all up in prayer.

We do not need a special day to bring Michele to mind. The days we do not think of her are very hard to find. Each morning when we awake we know that she is gone and no one knows the heartaches as we try to carry on. Our hearts still ache with sadness and secret tears still flow. What it meant to lose Michele no one will ever know. Our thoughts are always with her, her place no one can fill. In life we loved her dearly; in death we love her still. Our hearts will often ache and we'll shed a silent tear remembering the precious moments of the days when she was near. The family chain is broken now and nothing will be the same, but God will call us one by one and the chain will link again.
