I didn't know Alan, but I went to the 9/11 Memorial on 5/11/2013 and saw this flag in his name, had to take a picture of it.

As I stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

I did not know Alan, but his brother, Gary, is my best friend. I know the pain that Gary has felt over the loss of Alan, and something that maybe some people don't know about Alan - he survived the first attack on the WTC several years before. Our heart and sympathies go out to Alan's immediate family; his wife and children. God Bless you all!

Alan:
Think about you everyday and I pray for Martha and the boys (& the pets). Hard to believe still, you're not sitting at your desk every morning. I hope your family is doing ok. I called Martha a little while back and we chatted for a while. She's such a strong woman. I know her faith will give her and your children the strength to be able to get by each day.
Your co-worker,
Linda
