Albert and I first met in the military and were together throughout training at the then Colorado State College in Ft. Collins, Colorado (engineeriing school). We ended up at a port of embarkation in Wilmington, California, shipped out on a Kaiser-made, 10,000-ton ship, and were on board for 68 days until we landed in Calcutta in late May, 1944.
