Not sure what to say?

I know Alice is with God. Thank you for this God! I send greetings to all.

I am Betty Wheaton's daughter, Karen Henderson (Wheaton), reading this today. My mother is Henry Hacker's daughter.
I believe my grandfather was Fred Hacker's brother. I am researching my mother's family and my father's family and would enjoy sharing information.

My grandfather and his wife Elsie lived in Des Plaines, IL with their three children, Wilbur (Jim), Betty, and Jeanne. ...

My family has been blessed to have had Alice as a neighbor and friend for the past 24 years. She was a saintly woman who always had a word of kindness and such a positive spirit. Now she is a saint in heaven and enjoying being with her parents and husband. God's peace to Bob, Andy, Marty, and Melanie.

We are honored to keep Alice's garden alive. She surely left her mark on our neighborhood and she will be forever remembered. Not a week goes by that someone doesn't stop by the house/garden to share fond memories of Alice. May God bless your family and know that Alice has left behind the legacy of her garden. It brings smiles to so many and smiles to our family every day.

Melanie - I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She will remain with you in heart and thoughts. My deepest sympathies to you and family.

Alice will be remembered for giving such beauty to our neighborhood - her flowers were gorgeous and her smile was endearing. She will enjoy her walks in God's garden. Sympathy to her family.....Mary and Bob Philips, Arlington Heights

Grandma will be missed so much! We love you very much and will forever cherish our memories and special times with you. May God bless you and surround you with his love. Love, David, Andrea, David Jr. & Elizabeth

What a marvelous woman she was! I remember those days 65 years ago when we would all gather in the Hacker backyard, where we were always welcome. It was such a great time and place to grow up, thanks to people like Mr. & Mrs. Hacker. I was so delighted to see Alice last year at Sandy Herff's wake. She is certainly at home with Fred again!

Thoughts are with you at this time of sorrow. May your memories of your Grandmother help ease your pain. You are in our prayers. Love you....

Our continued prayers and love are with you always>Ed and Loi Danan(Des Plaines, IL)
