Deacon Allen Lee Lowe, 93, of Malvern, Arkansas, completed his earthly journey on Monday, May 31, 2021. He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to loving parents, Dorsey Lowe and Ruth Thompson Lowe on February 29, 1928. Dea. Lowe gave his life to Christ in his early childhood. He grew up in the On the Pike community in Pine Bluff and attended the segregated colored school there. He would later move to Malvern where he joined New Director Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. Rose. While there he was ordained as deacon. Dea. Lowe later joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. Newburn. At the time of his passing, he was Mt. Zion’s most senior deacon.
Dea. Lowe was a not a man of many words, but what he said, he meant. You knew how he felt and if something was not right, he’d let you know. He loved his family, especially his loving wife of 45 years, Cora. The two were blessed to have enjoyed each other’s companionship for over 50 years. Dea. Lowe enjoyed hunting, gardening and reading God’s Word. He worked a few different jobs during his lifetime, but retired from Precision Industries in Malvern, where he was the union representative for the company.
Dea. Lowe was preceded in death by his afore-mentioned parents; brother, Lenord Lowe; sister, Lucille Avery; two children: Lorraine Lealie and Eric LaShawn Wright. He will be remembered and missed by his loving wife, Cora Lowe; children: David Lowe Turner, Russell Lowe (Julie), Darlene Jimerson Lewis (Larry), Joyce Curry, Annette Lowe, Loretta Coleman, Evelyn Thrower (Tony), Jacqueline Green (Will); stepchildren: Alfred Danner, Rodney Tyson, Cynthia Jenkins (Harold) and Valeria Tyson; special nieces: Bernestine Harris, Faye Powell, Lois Cash and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be a Home Going Celebration at 11:00am, on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Bank OZK Stage in Malvern. A visitation will be held at Brandon's Mortuary in Malvern from 4:00 - 6:00pm, on Friday, June 4th.

Uncle, thank you for being around since my birth. You were the only uncle that I’ve really known. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, I cannot be there in person to say “I”ll see you again and enjoy the rest you have earned.” Love Wayne

Job well done! To the first uncle I ever knew I was Lil Toot when I arrived on the earth and remained that for 70 years. A strong man who never changed no matter what the circumstances were. I will love you forever. Rest now. You deserve it. May we all be comforted in God's loving care...
