Not sure what to say?

Jeniene we were so saddened to hear of Alvins passing. Yours was a love story for sure. Alvin was such a kind soul and so accomplished. His travels paralled ours, it was so much fun to compare notes. He will be greatly missed! We love you!

We have known and admired Alvin for many years and will miss his kindness and beautiful smile. He is and was a wonderful gentleman who was always interested in people. And he had the best apple juice ever! Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

It was an honor for my wife and I to know Alvin. We enjoyed visiting with him and Jeniene so very much. Thank you, Alvin, for your kindness, integrity, and generosity. Your impact in our lives will never be forgotten.

What a joy it has been to have had Alvin and Jeniene in our ward family and what wonderful examples they have been for me personally and for my teenage son. I will never forget his love and support of my husband in his calling and for his the great testimony
he had. I loved our time together in family history class and will always cherish both of their friendship. I will be taking with me to my new home the beautiful hollyhocks he planted in my front yard to our new home. His kindness...

We enjoyed serving our mission with Alvin and Jeniene. Alvin was a quiet and gentle person and you felt a calming spirit any time we were in his presence. Our lives are better because we have known both of you. We will always remember our visit at your home by the Temple and the beautiful yard he was cultivating - it is now a legacy of his devotion to beauty of nature. May the Lord bless you Jeniene as you adjust to absence.

Living so far away from my Grandpa growing up was hard, but because of our distance, the time we shared together was much more valued and treasured. I would never get tired of hearing the amazing stories of the adventures he had experienced and of the people he had met. Because of the example that my Grandpa had set for me and from seeing what he devoted his life doing, I have realized the importance of living a life of service for others. Although 26 years with my Grandpa has seemed all...

I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of Alvin's family. I am glad to have been able to share in alot of teaching and learning moments. I will always cherish the times I have had with him and Della and all of the family. He was truly an incredible man!! I have no memory of Alvin ever being angry and he could always make a serious moment turn into a humorous one. Love to all of the family!

Granpa was the best man aroumd. He would always give or help anyway he could. He never had an ill thing to say about anyone or anything. He always looked for the best in everything even in the last days. I have many great memories with Grandpa, trips to Sacco's to take a load of apples down and we never came home empty handed we always had to get all kinds of fruits and veggies. Him sitting in this chair getting his hair done. Walking around picnic tables looking for money that fell out...

My Grandpa was the best man I have ever know. I am sad to have lost him and at the same time I feel absolutely blessed to have had him for so long. I got to grow up hearing stories of his travels. Ones that shared adventure, strange animals, foods and customs. At a young age my Grandpa was able to teach me how lucky I was to have so much because in his stories so many people had so little. I have always had so much admiration for my Grandpa, traveling to all these strange and some times scary...
