I was really sad and shocked to hear these news. Andy was a great person in all senses. I had the opportunity work with him at Amazon and he was an outstanding and hard-working engineer. He was always showing a smile and being positive despite all difficulties and challenges in life.
I really respected him. This is a great loss to the world. Thanks Andy for teaching us that no matter what the problems are, we have to keep looking forward and bring out the best in ourselves.
RIP...

I'm very sad to hear that Andy passed away. I worked with him at Amazon and the one thing that I remembered was his strength and his smile while he was battling with cancer. He reminded me of my older brother who fought with a different illness and ultimately passed away.
RIP Andy, I'm going to miss him.

So sad to hear of Andy's passing. I worked with him for a few years at Microsoft in the '90s. Andy was always well respected and fun to work with. He was constantly smiling and upbeat despite the challenges life threw at him. I know many 'Softies' who will miss him greatly.
Rest in peace, Andy.

Andy is gone...I am so sad. What an amazing talent and great hearted guy. Knew him for 15 years, he did my website design for which I still receive many compliments here at the inn. Great, sense of humor, understated ego. Knew he had 2 heart transplants but never thought cancer would beat him. He will be watching and listening tonite...stay funny and true to form. He would like that.
