Carol Lee Wold passed away peacefully July 16th 2016 at her home in Sun City Arizona at the age of 93.

Carol Lee (Copeland) Wold was born September 3rd, 1922 in King City Missouri. The daughter of Mitchell Lee and Minnie (DeAtley) Copeland. She resided in King City until 1991 when she moved to Sun City.

She was a graduate of King city high school, and Platt-Gard Business College in St. Joseph Missouri. She was the office manager of St. Joseph Power and Light Company in King City for 6 years. After which she was Clerk in Charge at the King City Post Office for 25 years.

She was united in marriage to Robert (Cotton) Thompson November 1, 1942. He Preceded her in death March 24th, 1989. On November 15th, 1997 she was united in marriage to John R. Wold and he preceded her in death September 2, 1998. She is preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters, Genevieve Neil, Opal Berry, Lena Berry and 1 brother Wallace Copeland.

She is survived by nieces Peggy (Gary) Winterrowd, Mary (John) Clark, Betty (Ken) Housefeld, Helen (Laird) Macomber, and nephews James (Roberta) Copeland, grand nieces and nephews, and stepsons Jay (Laurie) Wold, Tyler Wold and grandson Zack Wold.

She was a member of Grace Bible Church of Sun City Az, Agua Fria Chapter NSDAR, Arizona State Officers Club DAR, ASDAR State Chairman's Club, Missouri State Officers Club DAR, National Vice Chairmen's Association NSDAR, DAR Speakers Staff, The Heredity Order of the First Families of Massachusetts, Daughters of Colonial Wars, Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims, The New England Ancestry Alliance, United States Daughters of 1812, Magna Charta Dames of America, Daughters of American Colonist, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America, Order of the Eastern Star.

Since 1966 she has been interested in family genealogy, and has published four books.

Arrangements under the direction of Sunland Memorial Park, Mortuary & Cremation Center, Sun City, AZ.
