Polacek, Carolyn Marie age 88, of Edina and Bonita Beach, FL passed away July 13, 2007. Preceded in death by loving husband, Thomas; sister, Marilyn. Survived by daughters, Karen (Dan) Laurila and Kristin (Todd) Nelson; brother, Andrew Lundmark; grandchildren, Lindsay and Tom Laurila, Karl and Connor Nelson. Longtime employee of Dayton's. Her greatest joy was making others laugh. Always naughty, never dull. Thanks and praise to the caregivers at Sunrise of Mtka. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Monday, July 30 at Church of St. Patrick, 6820 St. Patrick's Lane, Edina. Visitation one hour prior to service at church in the Celtic Center. Carolyn & Tom were good and loyal friends. Tom was my Regional Manager with GAB in Minneapolis for 5 years. We enjoyed a great business relationship, plus we enjoyed many fun social events. Carl & Beth Gann

We are sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. We are filled with memories of the work, fun and laughter we enjoyed with her and Tom during our working days at General Adjustment Bureau. Tom and Carolyn were good mentors for us in and out of the work place. Our sincere sympathies to the family.
