Charles L. Wilson

Mr. Charles Luther Wilson, 73, of Morganton, died Sunday July 1, 2007 at Memorial Mission-St. Joseph Hospital, Asheville after a period of declining health. Mr. Wilson was born August 12, 1933 in Burke County to the late Odis and Annie Causby Wilson. He was a retired woodcarver in the furniture industry. Surviving are his wife Grace Marie Chapman Wilson of the home, two sons, Neal Wilson and wife Brenda of Valdese, Douglas Allen Wilson and wife Vicki of Morganton, a daughter, Barbara Wilson Ross and husband Bob of Morganton, a brother, James Wilson of Morganton and a sister Ruth Patton of Morganton. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Charles L. Wilson will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday July 5, 2007 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with Rev. Rocky Reese officiating. Entombment will follow in the Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:30 till 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 7479 Watershed Rd., Morganton, NC 28655.
