Curtis "Pete" E. Pritchett
Curtis "Pete" Eugene Pritchett, 67, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at the Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Dottie Pritchett.
Pete was born on July 3, 1943, in Lynchburg, VA, a son of the late Mildred and Lawson Pritchett. He was a US Navy Veteran having served during the Cuban Crisis. He was a member of Calvary Cross Baptist Church. Pete loved to sing.
Along with his wife Dottie, Pete is survived by his two sons: Curtis Lee Pritchett, and his wife Jaime, Troy Wayne Pritchett, and his wife Terri; his step-daughter, Charlotte Hudson-Fluharty, and her husband Scott; six grandchildren, three brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Cross Baptist Church with Rev. E. Wayne Hudson and Rev. Earl Clarkson officiating. Burial will follow on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by US Navy Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the church.
