Belated condolences
I have only just seen this notice in June 2012, and the news saddened me deeply. Mr Gabriel was an inspirational teacher for me at Manshead School in the 1970s, and I also worked with him one summer at one of his rugby club mates' warehouse, along with several other members of Manshead staff doing a summer stint! Dai dumped me in it getting me to figure out how to make some storage units out of a job lot of girders of all different sizes. I have never forgotten him!

R.I.P Sir
You will be as missed as you were loved and respected. I am so pleased that you were my teacher at Millvale

Inspirational man, great friend
I have only just heard today that Dai sadly passed away. I met Dai and his lovely wife Pat at Dunstable Rugby Club where we were members. I am so sorry to have missed Dai's funeral but I am honoured to have known, and been a friend of such a good man. My sympathy goes out to all the family

A Truly Inspirational Man
Dai was my teacher in the late 1960's. His constant encouragement and inspiration were enormous influences on my life and I am so sorry to learn that he has passed away. With very best wishes to his family. John
