Deepest sympathy to you Doris and Family on the loss of Dan. I only found the notice of his passing today. So many treasured memories of you both in so many peace and justice activities with my brother Jasiu & Kerry. May Dan rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers to you, Doris, at the loss of your companion and friend. I have appreciated my connection with both of you throughout the years and was proud to be Dan's colleague. We both shared a deep interest in science and religion.

I helped take care of Dan and Doris while they were in their home, in the latter season of his life. He was an extremely sensitive and expressive grandfather figure to me. I didn’t find out until later that he was connected to my grandfather through the Association of Christian Scientists. My favorite memories include him and Doris singing together- so many songs. He had such care for God’s creation, and undoubtable love for God’s word. I will miss him dearly.

I took an Observational Astronomy class at Thomas Jefferson College in 1976. Dan was the teacher. All these years later, I can still identify numerous constellations. Thanking my lucky stars today for having known Dan Andersen!

My dad passed in November 1995 and Dan was the pastor for the service. Dad (Dick Groen) was a supporter of O.Q. Sellers. Sorry about your loss.

I was a physics student of Professor Andersen’s back in the late 80’s. I loved him as a teacher but more importantly as a human being. He had a magical persona due to his inquisitiveness that he tried to instill in all of us. Everything was a mystery, until knowledge and truth were revealed as a result of diligent investigation. I graduated with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and at the annual Alumni awards dinners we would always reconnect and resume our rightful roles, me as his...
