Daniel Jacob Whitmer

Daniel Jacob Whitmer 79 of Manassas, VA., formerly of Centreville, VA passed from this life on September 11, 2006 at Prince William Hospital in Manassas. Born July 19, 1927 in Vint Hill Farms, VA, he was the son of the late Henry and Amy Whitmer. He had retired from the Fairfax County School System as a Heavy equipment operator and was a long time member of the Centreville Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Vivian J. Whitmer; and his youngest son Gerald W. Whitmer. He is survived by three children, Daniel L. Whitmer and wife Anita of Bluefield, VA; Spring M. Whitmer and fianc' Mark Smith of Centreville, VA and Allen J. Whitmer and wife Nila of Front Royal, VA; five grandchildren, Dwayne Whitmer of Chantilly, VA, Daniel J. Whitmer of Front Royal, VA, Damian Busicchia of Centreville, VA, Joseph Busicchia of Centreville,VA and Heather Busicchia of Centreville, VA as well as three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Pierce-Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 12 Noon. Mr. Whitmer requested that he be cremated and his remains be dispersed with his wife's this will be carried out by immediate family.
