Donald Don Murray

Donald W. Murray "Don" Passed away September 3, 2012 at 12:30pm at Lane Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of the Louisiana War Veterans home in Jackson, LA. Don was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and was awarded the Bronze star and numerous other medals for his bravery in Germany. He was Chief Pilot for the State of Louisiana and was personal pilot for Governor Jimmie Davis and John McKeithen. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 48 years of marriage Gloria V Murray, three children, Karen Corley, Monty Murray and Mark Murray all residents of Ventura, California. Stepson Randy Colvin and wife Kathy of Southlake, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, September 6, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 9:00am, Friday, September 7, 2012 at Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary, LA.
