Edward Zeiger

Edward Zeiger is my great-grandfather and I miss him so very much. He was and still is, a fantastic person! SEnding all my love to you great grandpa!!!

Ed was Sandy's principal at Pope Elementary school. When Pope first opened and the very first staff meeting was held, Ed looked around the room and stated that some principals work for years to get such a wonderful group of teachers and he was so fortunate to have such an excellent group of teachers for the opening of the new school. I will never forget when I was student teaching as a speech therapist in Puyallup School District at Wildwood Elementary, one of four schools in my caseload. Mr. Zieger was my 6th grade teacher at Firgrove many years ago! I absolutely loved our 5th-6th grade combination at that little school! He was my all time favorite teacher during my school career and I think one of the many reasons I decided to become a teacher.
