Elaine M. Quint, 83, of Cumberland, RI passed away peacefully with her family by her side Sunday, August 17, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Frank Quint. They were happily married for 59 years. Born in New Britain, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Cianci) D’Onofrio. Elaine graduated from Bay Path Junior College and went to work as an Executive Administrator at Boston’s Mass General. She also had a career in retail, working for Harry & David in the Wrentham Mall. Elaine’s favorite job was being a mom.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, David Quint and his wife, Jo Ann, and Elizabeth McHugh and her husband Charles, her grandchildren Justin Price, Jarid Price, Jonathan McHugh, Matthew Phillips and Jackson Phillips, and her great grandchildren Jack Price, Avery Price, and Paisley McHugh. Elaine was the sister of the late James D’Onofrio.
Elaine, also known as Lovey, had a special way about her. As soon as you met her, you could feel her love for you. She has a smile that would brighten any room and had the most loving and kind heart you could ever imagine. Elaine absolutely loved being surrounded by her family and friends. She played Mahjong and Canasta with her friend groups. She enjoyed playing golf and being a member of the Berkley Commons Ladies Group. Traveling to Marco Island, Kennebunkport and California were a few of her favorite places to visit. Most of all, Elaine loved being surrounded by her family, listening to our stories, telling stories of her own and most of all laughing. She had the most infectious laugh. Everyone lost their best friend on August 17, 2025. Elaine will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 22nd at 1:00 PM at Angelo’s, 133 Mendon Rd., Cumberland, RI.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, in Elaine's memory, would be great appreciated.

To Frank, David and JoAnn, Beth and Charles, and all the kids and grandkids - the obituary photo you chose captures Elaine's joy and sparkle. She was a joyful cousin and her appreciative laugh will ring out forever! Her name is our daughter's middle name. We send our sympathy at her passing, and while we are unable to join you at Friday's Celebration of Life in person, we celebrate the wonderful life she lived.
Sending Love,

Offering my deepest condolences to Frank & your family. I only met Elaine a few times, but she was infectious, especially her laugh. She is such a sweet & caring person. My mother, Louise Colinan, enjoyed many years of a close friendship with her & my mom cherishes those moments now. Sincerely, Lori A. Barker

Lovey was the best of the best and adored by the entire Walsh family. She loved unconditionally and lit up a room whenever she walked in. She will be missed so, so much by all of us, but I know there are huge smiles up in heaven by the people that get to see her again. - Walsh kids

Mrs. Quint truly WAS someone who made literally everyone in her company feel cherished. Her huge smile, exclamation of joy in seeing you and excited engagement made you feel like you were truly special to her.
I hope all of the joy she shared in her life comes back to all who loved her as they adapt to her physical absence. A spirit like Mrs. Quint's will for sure live on forever!
