Fascinated by everything, especially loved to share with young folks the ways of nature. By the time he reached his later years knew more about more than about anyone on this earth. With humor and grace, waving hands across the landscape, he captured most of what most of us look for all our lives. Happy to the last days surely Gary is walking in a bed of mushrooms of his wildest dreams, saving some for us.
