Not sure what to say?

I was so sorry to hear of Uncle George passing away. I am the son of his brother Tom. I have been living up north for over 45 years so I don't know many of my relatives but I did see Uncle George at my sister's funeral a few years back.

I was very honored to be one of his care takers at Westwood. from the first time I saw him he always reminded me of my dad. With his beautiful hair and the way he always talked about my long hair. I will miss him and miss doing for him. My love and prayers go out to his family.

I knew George Asbury as a neighbor as well as being a Police Officer in Bluefield, VA. He made a difference with his dedication and friendship always taking time to ask how you were doing.

I thought he was a great man.I was very proud to be his great grandson.

I remember your dad as a child on the farm in Shawver's Mill, Va. My grandfather was Will Kirby. Curt remembers you both from Graham High School. Your dad was such a good friend to my grandparents at that time. Our condolences to you both on your loss.

I was with George but a few times but was glad to share a small part of his life.----Sam Damewood

Dear Family of George Asbury:

My condolences to you. Alice and Frances - my heart goes out to you. Your Dad would have been 100 soon - but he lived a good life. Academy Street wasn't the same after he left. My family (Bill Richardson) lived on Vista Street just above him - our hearts go out to you for your loss. Gail Richardson, Betty (Richardson) Coon, and Beth (Richardson) Roberts.
