Not sure what to say?

A friend during the 80´s & 90´s. I helped him with computers, he paid me in art. He was a feisty colorful man with great stories and cats. Still have his art. He was a rare character, and I miss him.

I met George thru my mother several years ago when I lived in Eagle River. He was a great man and undoubtedly a spectacular artist. I did not have the oppertunity to know him very well, however heard numerous stories from my mom. As I grow older I learn to appreciate life and the people who pass thru yours. It was an Honor and a Privilage to have met him.

I have had the privilage of assisting George over the past two years. I will miss our monthly visits and he will always hold a place in my heart. He is probably in heaven providing works of art to the angels. Rest in Peace.

I left Alaska over 10 years ago but still counted George as a friend. He leaves a wonderful legacy as an artist. No one could do justice to a dog in a painting as he could do! Not to mention his Iditarod portraits & posters, the Alaska Troopers & the native Alaska people.
He will be missed. I feel privledged to have known him.
