Howard was a great friend of the Boy Scouts of America. That's where I first met him. He was so giving of his time to all scout affairs, whether it was opening/closing a court of honor, or camp outs, meetings- he was always there.
Scouting will definitely miss him.
I remember seeing him earlier this year at a Roundtable meeting. He was the oldest "scout" present.
