To the family, Irene and I attended the Houston Skill center together. We worked at Abraham Linciln Jr.Sr. High for 5 years 1974-1979 now, (Gregory Lincoln). I never knew she was ill because a long time passed since we spoke. She was always kind-hearted, helpful and very friendly. I'm praying for the family. Josephine Cloud-Turner

Many of Irene's former classmates were unaware of her passing and I want to remind the family when God says your work is done and your journey here is over, in Christ Jesus, your next journey can be eternal in Heaven. To her God daughter whom I met shopping with Irene one day for things to go in your new apartment, just keep those memorable days in your heart and the smile I remember so well. My prayer is that God will strengthen and keep all of you she has left behind.

Gods blessing upon Irene's family. Irene and I were Breast Cancer Sisters. I met her at Kelsey Seybold 2 years ago. What a special cheerful person she was. I will always remember the many events we attended. I will always remember that smile. God will continue to bless you all forever.

I am so sorry I missed all the arrangements for Irene. It has been a while since last we met but she was one of the nicest persons I've ever met. I loved knowing her and her family very much and I miss seeing her sister and my sister-n-law Dot.

I have known Irene for years but had not seen her since her sister, Dot, my sister-in-law passed. It seems as if it was only yeasterday when she had our niece Shurvonda in her arms. I will miss her and her big smile. From the Harrell family

I will deeply miss Miss Fisher's smile. She was always upbeat, even when going through medical procedures. She had a kind word for everyone. Her calm presence on the campus of GLEC was missed after she retired; her legacy lives on through all the lives of young people she touched.

Sending my condolences and prayers to the Fisher family. I knew Irene from our childhood days in FifthWard/The Bottom. We attended elementary and middle school together. Irene was one of a kind and it should bring you comfort to know that God has called one of his angels home. I still cannot vision Irene's passing. I am so glad I got a chance to speak to her the day before her passing. She was my aunt and I always love talking and laughing about how Miss Annie kept us laughing. I will truly miss Irene. I love her, I really do. I don't have words to express my feelings.
