Merritt Island
Isabelle M. Gentile, 67, of Merritt Island, Florida died Friday February 25, 2011 at her home.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Isabelle moved to Florida from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after she retired from the Philadelphia School District in 2006.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Merritt Island.
Isabelle is survived by her sons Joe (Dianna) Gentile of Kingsland, Georgia, Jim (Chrissy) Gentile of Aston, Pennsylvania, and Gregg Gentile of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Joseph (Maria) Gentile, Jeffrey Gentile, Amanda Gentile, Jimmy Gentile, and Francesca Gentile; brothers Vincent (Joyce) Lieggi of San Diego, California, and Ed (Sue) Lieggi of Alexandria, Virginia; sister Debbie (Art) Friedman of Merritt Island, Florida; aunt Mildred Gaeta of Springfield, Pennsylvania; nieces Alyssa Friedman and Vanessa Friedman.
Calling hours are 5-8PM with a Rosary Service at 7PM on Friday March 4, 2011 at Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held 10AM Saturday March 5, 2011 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 1940 N. Courtenay Pkwy., Merritt Island, Fl. 32953. A Committal Service will be held following the Mass at Brevard Memorial Park, Cocoa, Florida.
Arrangements under the direction of Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, Merritt Island, FL.

I was so sorry to hear about Isabelle's sudden passing. I worked with her for a few years as her Health Rm. Tech. She was a great lady and so easy to work with. She will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember meeting Isabelle for the first time at Missy and Mike's wedding, we followed her in our car.....man did she drive slow, we were teasing her about it and she said that at least she made it back home. Being new to the family she treated me very nicely, wish I could be there.

I so enjoyed my brief time with her last year when I visited. I love the way she said what was on her mind. I remember being a little girl and just thinking she was so beautiful and wanting to look just like her.
