Not sure what to say?

Jimmy taught me the mechanics and art form for playing tennis. His lessons and encouragement have stayed with me as I am still playing at 77. I can clearly remember his dedication to the game. I remember when he was teaching me to serve, my racket came down on his head! Oh dear!

Definitely one of the nicest men I have ever met. No doubt about his whereabouts now. In the best part of heaven.

Heartfelt condolences to the Evert family... I started tennis lessons with Jimmy back in the mid-fifties. It wasn't long before everyone in my family, Ballard, Craig and Bonnie were also taking lessons from Jimmy. My son Craig was often recruited by Jimmy to hit with Chrissie and Bonnie also played with Chris many times. My family has such fond memories of Jimmy and the Evert family. He will be missed greatly by anyone fortunate enough to have known him personally. The Tennis world has lost...

RIP Mr. Evert. You r family and loved ones were very blessed to have you in their lives. May you soar with the angels in Heaven.

Sending loving thoughts and prayers to the entire family. Jimmy Evert was a huge part of my childhood and I will never forget the great memories I shared with the entire family. I know he is at peace in God's arms.

My first tennis lesson was from Coach Evert at South Side Park before he went to Holiday Park. Now at 70 I still play tennis 2-3 days a week. My son was an All-American tennis player at FSU, and a teaching pro, before joining the family business.
Thanks Coach Evert starting a love of tennis in the Stanton Family.

With deepest sympathy to the Evert family in particular to Jimmy Evert's brother, Gerald Evert, who was my high school math teacher from 1962-65.

My deepest condolences to Chrissie, Collette and the entire Evert family. I spent some summers at Holiday Park back in the 1980's and there I got to meet this incredible man named Jimmy Evert. As a girls in her twenties, loving tennis and following Chrissie, Mr. Evert welcomed me with open arms. His kindness and generosity were beyond the norm. Always a kind smile and encouragement. I will never forget this gentle man. Thank you Evert family for sharing your husband and father with us. I will...

Mr. Evert was a giant among men but in the humblest way possible. His love for tennis was passed onto so many of the Holiday Park Kids that he taught including myself. His strong moral ethics are lost in the tennis world today. We all learned something from Jimmy Evert and I am immensely proud to say he taught me tennis. Prayers for Mrs. Evert and all the children and grandchildren.
