James O'Neill Obituary

SPARTA -- James Daniel O'Neill, 67, Certified Civil Trial Attorney, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Newton Memorial Hospital.

James was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Sparta in 1968. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He attained his bachelorÕs degree in industrial relations from Seton Hall University in 1968 and his law degree in 1972 from Seton Hall.

James is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne (Zagari) O'Neill, and his devoted children, Debra Euker and her husband, Mark, Thomas O'Neill and his wife, Karie Ann, and James J. O'Neill. He was the loving grandfather of Gavin, Grant, Carter and Cole Euker and Allison and Colin O'Neill. James is also survived by his sister, Margaret Koch, and brothers Richard, Donald and Gerard.

Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
