I am sorry for your loss.
I met Joan when she was first running as a candidate for city council at a Labor breakfast for us to meet and give her local labor union support.
She certainly impressed me and continued to have the support of her voters.
She was a great lady and said what was on mind.
She helped many people and I am sure they all remember her.
I have after all these years.
Again I am sorry for loss.

It is with a heavy heart that I say, "Rest in peace Joan." I hope you are with Jack Carmody just like when you were committee people in Northeast Philly. You had Sophie, Patsy and me register for so many different parties. One time we went to vote and we didn't know what party we were. Joan, I remember when I first met you..we were on the corner waiting for the 66 trolly in 1973
We rode together quite a few time. You were very kind, always said hello and how are things.

Joan helped so many without recognition. If you thought a problem was unsolvable, the solution was call Joan. And call Joan was what we did. She was never too busy for her people. If only there were more like her maybe the NE wouldn't be headed in the direction it is. Rest in peace, champion of the people.
