AGEE, John Matthews, 94, of Chesterfield County, passed away November 19, 2010, with wife, Margaret; and her sister, Barbara and husband, Bill Nelms by his bedside where he received Hospice care. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Taylor and Kim Harton. He is survived by one daughter, Claudie Woodard and her husband, Junior; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. John retired in 1972 as fire chief for DGSC (Bellwood) and was a US Navy veteran, and he also loved playing golf. The family would like to thank Odyssey Health Care for all their assistance during this time, especially RN Kathleen Nethery and volunteer Anthony Simmons. The family will receive friends Sunday (today), November 21, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 22, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 8000 Franklin Farms Dr. Suite 100, Richmond, Va. 23229.

Mrs. Agee, I am so sorry for your loss and I want you to know that I think of you, Mr. Agee and Kim often.
Growing up with Kim as my best friend allowed me to share many wonderful memories with all of you.
My most favorite memory was when you all took me with you on vacation to Nags Head when I was 13. It was one of the most wonderful vacations of my life and 40 years later I still enjoy the memories.
