John and I were friends at Georgetown University in the early 1970's. He was one of the most intelligent and interesting and unique people that I have ever known. I first met John ~10 years ago having seen his episodes of I Love Toy Trains. I wrote to him early in the year and asked if there was ever a chance to see his collection I would be honored.
