John Blake Mccowen Sr.

John B. McCowen, Sr., age 46 of Sevierville, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 31, 2011. He loved living life to the fullest every day, was an avid sports fan, and a friend to all who crossed his path. He was preceded in death by his brother, Greg McCowen; grandmother, Dorothy Dean Harris; and father-in-law, Wilson Lonas, Jr. He is survived by: Wife of 27 years: Pamela Lonas McCowen Son and daughter-in-law: John Blake McCowen, Jr. and Jennifer Daughter and son-in-law: Megan and Adam Woodrick Granddaughter: Annela McCowen Mother: Marilyn Higgins Clark Father and special step-mother: Dale and Marlys McCowen Sisters and brother-in-law: Valerie Jianotti; and Linda and William Huff Special mother-in-law: Carolyn Lonas Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Robin and Lee Fox, Suzanne and Mike Fox, and Tim and Angela Lonas Several beloved nieces, nephews, and friends; former employees; and his extended Barnes and Lonas families In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to U.T. Hospice, 2270 Sutherland Avenue, Suite 101, Knoxville, TN 37919. The family will receive friends from 3-6 PM Saturday with funeral service to follow at 6 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Fox officiating and eulogy by Robin Lonas Fox.
