Not sure what to say?

John Symanitz was a perfect gentleman and professional at all times. When I had the privilege of serving on the Minnesota Board of Health Underwriters, I met John. We had our meetings early in the morning, most of the time, and he always showed and shared his committment with the members of the MAHU Board and Association with his attendence and participation. I admired John's choice to "listen" to others and to "share" his opinions and experience -- at the right time. I learned to...

1994 NAHU Meeting in New Orleans, Myself, Karli Dunkelberger and John

I first got to know John thru the Minnesota Association of Health Underwriters. John was a past president of the association and a longtime member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and a past president also. On my first meeting with John he brought Stella his wife, very lovely woman who attended him to all of the state and national conventions. She always had a smile on her face and always was so proud of John and his efforts in the insurance business. I was the incoming...

John was an inspiration to many of us in the insurance industry and I am proud to say that I was a recipient of the award that bears his name. John set a standard of excellence in life and business and we are all lucky to have met such a wonderful man. We will miss him.

As a MAHU Past President and John J. Symanitz Award Winner, I have had many opportunities to visit with John & Stella at the MAHU-MN Sales Congress and at the NAHU conventions.

The event that stands out in my mind was at the NAHU convention. John was celebrating life at age 99, dressed in his white tuxedo, dancing to the band at the President's Gala. John twirled Stella around with flare and dipped her; they both laughed and continued dancing.

What an inspiration! John, through...

John,
You will always be an inspiration to me. A man who lived his faith and always tried to do the right thing. God bless you.

I knew John all my life (52 yrs). He lived just a few blocks from my parents home in Minneapolis. As children, we would go to his home and he'd barbeque something special in his backyard. He always seemed to be smiling. He was our family insurance agent for many years. I'm sure he'll be missed by many folks. Rest in peace John!

Our sympathy to all in the family...John was a wonderful GENTLEMAN and a pleasure to know...our thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate his life.
