Obituary

John S. Vukelich 69, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sept. 6, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He belonged to the AOOC Outdoor Archery Leagues. He loved spending time at the cabin where he enjoyed bow hunting. John retired from Superior Ligerwood Mundy. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Victoria; and son, James. John is survived by wife of 48 years, Nancy; sons, Jeff (Bonnie) of Esko, Scott (Sue) of Duluth, Mark (Jennifer) of Superior, daughters, Pam Vukelich, Rhonda (Steve) Peterson, Debbie (James) Fry; grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacy, Kelly, Steven, Justin, Adam, Amanda, Jacob, Anna, Tylor, Jenna, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Madison, and Gavyn; sisters, Janet Jondal of Grand Rapids, Carol Wood and Karen Myers both of Duluth; brothers, David of Duluth and Jim of Louisiana; sister-in-law, Verna Grant of Dearborn, Mich.; and many other relatives and close friends. John's family wishes to thank the staff of the CICU at St. Mary's and the doctors who gave him great care. MEMORIAL SERVICE:2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 with a visitation one hour before the service in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth. 218-624-5200.
