Not sure what to say?

That was beautiful! The love and respect you had for your father is evident. I don't know your family, but I'm sure it's great. Thanks for writing this, it brought a tear to my eye! Heaven is waiting for this General!

Uncle Joe was a large presence in our family. He came to live with my parents for a time when he was 12 years old after the death of his mother! He visited often and it was a treat for us! I consider him my “big “ brother. On the last visit we made to see the Silva’s , we joined in the traditional poker game. We laughed, drank, fought and had the best of times! He is missed but I look forward to seeing him again in the next life! Blessings to Aunt Bev and our Silva family!

Sgt. Major Silva,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army-especially with 82nd Airborne Division-the “All-American” Division. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Airborne All The Way!

I’m so sorry for your loss. By the story above your dad was a great joy to have around. I hope you have great memories to comfort you.
