Joseph John Vargas, WWII 8th Army Air Corps/YMI#2SJ/SIRS#125, entered this earth on Feb. 9, 1922 and left on Jan.1, 2018.
Joe's time was well spent with family, friends and acquaintances met through many years at church and community centers. He leaves behind his wife of 71 years, Delinda, his children Robin, Bob and Rhonda, his grandson James (who often helped him in his garden), his sister Anna and many nieces and nephews.
To all Joe was a giving and friendly man. To his family he will always be our hero.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20th, 11 a.m. at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow St., San Jose. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Joe's memory, to ABILITIES UNITED, 525 E. Charleston Rd., Palo Alto, CA 94306, would be appreciated.
