Lorena Lucille Smith, 88, of Owosso, passed away Tuesday, March 12th, 2013 at Ovid Healthcare Center. There will no services scheduled at this time, a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Lorena was born in Owosso, Michigan on January 1, 1925, the daughter of the late John and Vera (Graham) Schiebner. She attended Owosso Public Schools. Lorena married Charles Wiley Smith in Owosso in 1946. Charles preceded her in death on December 30, 1980. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Lorena loved to crochet, especially making beautiful afgans.
Those who cherish her memory include: children, Lorraine (Robert) Collard of Owosso, Carol Holden of Nashville, TN, Lawrence (Theo) Smith of Corunna, Rose Ann (Thomas) Flagg of Owosso; eight grandchidren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Wava Sabisch of Owosso; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Charles; sister, Luella Schiebner; and brothers, Edward, Jack Russell and Donald Schiebner.
Lorena was a special cousin, who was always smiling. I also remember many family gatherings at our Grandpa and Grandma Graham's home. May Lorena rest in peace, in Heaven.
