Not sure what to say?

I met Mark on a cold winters' day in January of 2007. He not only comforted me during a time of despair and desperation in my life, but shared his personal experiences to help me understand unconditional love. This from a total stranger to me, and forever changed my life in a positive way. He was my angel then, and will always be a part of my life until we meet again. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Walking up the stairs came easy and the golden gates at the top opened wide as he entered.
Now he is in a place I call the wide side of heaven because it includes the simplest desires but also the most humble and grand. The word that comes to mind is comfort.
There are cakes and pillows and colors galore, but underneath the patchwork quilt are places like the quiet room where he can hold someones hand and not have to say anything.
Give no glory. Make no claim. Where he can...

Thank you to all for the lovely words of remembrance, love, support, and caring that you convey in this guest book. Mark touched lives in many wonderful and amazing ways, and it is a comfort to hear your words of affirmation, prayer, and support. Please know the depth of my/our gratitude. God bless you. Lou Cooney Erickson (Mark's Mom).

I met Mark when he came to eat at the American Legion usually with his co-workers. He was always bubbly with a joke or two to tell. He will be deeply missed by all our Staff. My condolences to his family.

Dear family of Mark,

Mark impressed me the first time we met a few years back. He took a statement from me, and the next day called to keep me informed. That was the professional side of him I respected. I cut his hair many times and we always had a good laugh together in the shop. His laugh... it was contagious! I'm going to miss that trait; well, all of us will miss [it] him. There are trying days ahead, but nothing is impossible (Romans 5:1-5). My 16 year old son died in...

Dear Jane: My sympathy and prayers are with you. I remember Mark and his work with children when he brought Rocky to school in Mahnomen and how the children loved it. He also worked on our school board. May God grant him eternal happiness. Love, Sr. Yvonne Schafer

Mark was an old friend who I knew through TEC retreats. I was fortunate enough to serve the Lord with him and experience his awesome faith and friendship.
He had a good heart and cared about many people...I hope that his family and friends can find peace in this time of sorrow.

I met Mark 2 years ago , there was some trouble for me and my kids
and he was assigned my case. He was a very hard worker and qhickly brought peace to our lives again. I am forever grateful for the man, will always love him and deeply miss him. Ann Nelson Litchfield

Before I even met Mark, at a TEC retreat in Crookston, Jane told me "he gives the best hugs"..and I can honestly say that is was true!! The few times I spent with Mark I came away knowing that he cared about me and my family..He had such a way of reaching out to people..God's Peace to Jane, the girls and all of Marks family and friends..
