Mary Lou Peters

Mary Lou Peters, 84, died peacefully Friday, May 27, 2016. Born October 27, 1931 in Fort Wayne, IN, the youngest of the late Herbert and Marie (McGuire) Kocks and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. On October 6, 1951, Mary Lou married Richard Peters and together had five children. She is survived by her husband Richard of 65 years; children Barbara Peters, Dianne (Steve) Ebling, Michael (Jan) Peters, Jennifer (Steve) Bautz and Mark (Julie) Peters; 14 grandchildren & 1 great-grandson. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, James and John Kocks, sisters Jeanne Jehl and Patricia Conkright. Mary Lou was an avid card player and belonged to several card clubs. She was a huge fan of Purdue basketball, enjoyed reading and baking and was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 10700 Aboite Center Road with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be Tuesday, May 31, 2016, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with a prayer service at 7:30 pm. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Services of N E Indiana or Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
