Not sure what to say?

Mary Jane meant a great deal to our family.

Our mother, Helen Bradley, became best friends at an early age with Mary Jane. This friendship lasted throughout their lives. Our family was filled with joy when Mary Jane first introduced us to Harold; what a great person.

Mary Jane and our mother played together, worked together and politicized together. They even worked for the same great man; Dick Neuberger.

This was a time when blue collar liberalism was...

She had a big heart, and never complained. It was great fun listening to her stories back when she lived in D.C. All the grand parties, fund raisers, etc, when JFK was in office.

I knew Mary Jane when she lived in Portland and was a friend of her cousin, Shirley Kreyer. We enjoyed spending our free time together before she moved to Washington. If Shieley reads this I would love to hear from her and share memories of Mary Jane. She was a very bright woman who enjoyed her work with the Neubergers. Alice (Sigrist) Gustafson, Portland.

One of my mentors had worked with Mary Jane in the Neubergers' office and for years afterwards used to consult her for wisdom on legislation and politics. Her good work with the Neubergers laid a solid foundation for Oregon's forward-looking politics over the last 50 years.
