Funeral for Matthew Kane “Babe” Ruth, 18, of Town Creek will be Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Hollis Rutherford and Milton Burks officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Ruth, who died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, was born Jan. 8, 1990, in Athens to Darren Ruth and Shelia Hutto. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Libby Hutto.
Survivors include his parents, Darren Ruth and wife, Sherry, and Shelia Hutto and husband, Don; brothers, Hayden Ruth of Athens, Wesley Hutto and Rim Hutto, both of Town Creek; sisters, Misty Kirby and Heather Hutto, both of Moulton; and grandparents, Clyde and Fran Ruth of Athens, Mack and Frances Liles of Town Creek, Thomas and Shirley Clinard of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Hayden Ruth, Nathan Liles, Bradley Hulsey, Tommy Liles, Orie Landsell, and Josh Nunley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Harville and Preston Massey.

Babe was a great person. He always had something positive to say about everyone. When I needed him, he was ALWAYS there. He would always find some way to make me smile, and he would tell me how everything was going to be ok:) He was a wonderful person and a great friend. Yall are in our thoughts and prayers.
