Services for Mrs. Melissa McBride Creel, age 41, of Ovett, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Praise Tabernacle Holiness Church in Ovett.  Mrs. Creel passed from this life on August 10, 2024 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Rev. Colon Rowell and Rev. Rusty Barber will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Praise Tabernacle Holiness Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Butts, Evan Williams, Robin Williams, Christy Wolfe, Charlotte Guy, and Liz Ellzey.


Mrs. Creel was a member of Victory Heights Pentecostal Church.


She was preceded in death by her father, William David McBride.


She is survived by her husband, Jason Creel of Ovett; son, Jon Michael O'Neal of Ovett; daughters, Annabelle Creel and Abbigale Creel, both of Ovett; mother, Brenda Gannon of Ovett; grandmother, Billie Rogers Mapp of Laurel; sister, Jennifer Hosey of Laurel; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
