Penny Jean Guthrie passed away on July 9th at her home in Porter, Texas. She was born in Minot, North Dakota to Doug Ross and Darla Kurtz. She grew up in Montana, but moved to Texas when she met her husband of 38 years. She is survived by her husband David Guthrie, children Angela Sisney and husband Marcus, and David Guthrie and wife Kelley. She adored her five grandchildren: Jeremy, Camryn, Drew, Hailey, and Zach. She also left behind brothers Doug Ross, David Ross and Bert Ross as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other extended family and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Pam, parents Doug and Darla, her "Gram" Opal Kurtz, and brothers Brian, Mark, and Terry. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
What a sweet, sweet, precious lady. The loss belongs to all of East Montgomery County as well as your family. You were always so sweet and kind to us; always so busy but never too busy to share a smile and a word and you will be missed tremendously!
