Rob was one of the first brokers to join my start up real estate company in 2005. He was a fighter, diligent worker, loyal friend and colleague. He never showed the struggle that he faced every day during this time together. He cared deeply for his family, friends and clients. Always in great spirit. A fun and loving guy. He will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.

Rob was one of the most positive and courageous people I have ever known. His energy was something to behold. Right up to the end he only wanted to know about others and what they were doing. His death is a great loss.

I initially met Rob in 1986 at the Rubicon Group in San Francisco which was a small boutique commercial real estate leasing company. I was learning the business, and Rob exemplified what a successful and directed professional does in this job. Rob was inspirational to me at that time as a co-worker. I rode the bus with Rob to SF most mornings for the past two years. He was a very gracious man and such pleasant company for the five minutes each day as we waited at the bus stop. My condolences to the Appleton family, and Rob you will be sorely missed! I am glad to have met you.
