LEMLEY, Robert E. "Ernie," 73, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruby Richardson Lemley. Ernie was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during Vietnam, and was retired from Virginia Dominion Power. He was an active member of Richmond East Moose Lodge. He is survived by his beloved loved one, Ann Perdue; and her children, son, Robbie Lemley; sister, Joyce Wells; and special niece, Cheryl Stewart and husband, Rick. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. Interment at Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

Oh my...such a long time ago buddy at VA Power Chippenham....how many times he helped move me from one apt to another...You were a great guy, Ernie...saw you not too long ago at our Dominion CU...you looked and sounded the same...your voice just gave you away..kinda like my attributes!!!!!!!....knew you immediately...God bless your family and may He speed your eternal rest...love and hugs....
