Thank you Rod, for giving when it wasn't expected, pitching in to help others, for your words of compassion and motivation whenever possible. Rod, you gave me a gift once when I could not afford one. Having that one piece of scuba equipment helped me find a path that otherwise may have gone unseen. A passion that has brought me a world of joy. Thank you Uncle Rod for helping find that joy. We should take a page from your book and remember that a good gesture can spark a life. Rod, yours will be celebrated and not forgotten. Until we see each other again, I know you will be watching over your loved ones closely. We will miss you. I love you, Travis

My husband, Sam Mathis, always enjoyed working with Rodney at the post office.
Sadly, now both Sam and Rodney have passed away leaving a huge void in many hearts.
Please know I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I understand. Doris Mathis

My Brother Rod, loved family and was there for each one that needed that extra hand on projects. He also had many friends that needed help and he was always there to help and pay it forward, asking nothing in return. Kind, loving, giving, caring and All Around Great Man. How much will he be missed, count the stars in the sky, that is how much. We shall hold on to all the memories we have stored in that special place. I know he is looking down and when I need that extra hand all I have to do is say, Rod help me and we will complete it together.
