Not sure what to say?

I am her son Matthew Thomas. RIP to the greatest mother to ever live. I wish I got to know her a lot more. All anyone tells me is that she is a loveable person. No one can compare to her greatness and a legacy that she left behind. I miss her

Not only were Shekita and I friends at Redemptorist, but we also maintained our friendship while both working at LSUHSC in New Orleans. We witnessed each other going through ups and downs, but Shekita had a resilience for which many people could only wish. I truly admire her for her strength and grace. I will miss her sense of humor and that smile that would crack me up from across the room. To the Garner Family: Shekita was a wonderful person, was loved by many, and will be dearly missed. To...

Shirley - I can only imagine what you may be feeling but please know that you are not alone. I love you with everything that I have. You will get through this! When you think about your loving daughter, just remind yourself to think of the happy memories and all of the good days. Be strong and know that you and your family are loved.

Thomas & Garner Families: I was a classmate of Shekita's from Redemptorist '85. I am sorry to hear of the passing of a wonderful and courageous person. May God be with you all in your time of sorrow. I am thinking of you all during this difficult time.

Thomas-Garner Families-
May God Bless You All.

TO THE FAMILY OF SHEKITA GARNER THOMAS

MAY GOD'S BLESSING BE WITH YOU IN YOUR TIME OF SORRW.

Garner and Thomas Family, It is said that when you cry, you cry alone, but that isn't true. The sadness you are feeling is felt by loved ones around you. Our loss here on earth, is the LORD's gain in Heaven. May you find comfort in knowing that you're not alone, God is watching over you. "For I am thy God, I will strengthen thee, I will help thee."

The Garner and Thomas Families;
My deepest sympathy to you. May God bless and be with you in your time of sorrow.

To the Family of Shekita Garner Thomas:

Although I knew Shekita for such a short time as a colleague at LSUHSC, her kindness and friendliness touch me and many others. Shekita was a kind soul that always had something good to say about a given situation. So to the family, I wish to convey my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. And remember she is not dead, but asleep within the lord. God Bless you and you entire family!
