Bev, Ron, Mike, & Kim:
I hope you remember me. My parents, Red and Rhoda Mercer were very good friends of your Mom and Dad. I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a wonderful lady, always smiling. I know you will miss her a lot. We lost Mom on December 24th last year and then Sandy on June 11th of this year. It is hard--I miss them terribly, but time does help to heal. Please know that you all are in my prayers and thoughts. Take care. Love, Kathy

Bev, Ron, Mike & Kim,
I saw your mom just a few weeks ago when she was up visiting my dad. We talked and laughed about the old days over on Nome Ave. She was great. I could never beat her at Basketball or 500 Rummy and she was reminding me of that fact when I saw her, and knowing her, she's probably starting the first "Browns Backers Club" in heaven, lol.
Is this closure on her life? NO! This is just a new chapter. There will never be closure as long as she is still in your hearts...

I had the wonderful pleasure of being with Sophie and Beverly when Sophie prayed with us and asked Jesus to be her Lord and Savior. That time is absolutely the best to participate in someone's life as they make Jesus their Lord. I am assured that Sophie is resting in the Lord's arms, rejoicing and at wonderful peace. The other pleasures I have with Sophie were the sharing of wonderful recipes and wonderful meals that she fixed. Nut rolls will never be the same. Sophie will be missed but...

To Mike, Kim, Ron, and family,
Though years and miles have separated us the memories live on, of the good times we had as kids in Akron. I remember some great meals and great laughs in Sophie's kitchen. I had so much fun being with you guys. I admired Sophie. She was a loving parent and friend; she was a hard-working and courageous person. Sophie never gave up, and I think in the end her life turned out pretty good, for her and for you. I'm so sorry she's gone, I know you will miss her...

Dear Bevy, We are saddened by the loss of your Mother but rejoice with you that she is in Heaven with Jesus. We treasure your friendship greatly and know that God's hope, strength and grace are upon you just as the song goes....My hope is in you, Lord. My strength is in you, Lord. It's in You...It's in You. We know your strength is in Him and He will get you through the fire untouched by the flames. We pray God's peace and blessings on you and your family.
