Steven Robert Medeiros, 39, of Knight Avenue, Attleboro, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 6, 2006 upon arrival at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a courageous health battle the last several months.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on July 14, 1967 he was a son of Thomas C. and Patricia Ann (Brassard) Medeiros of Attleboro. He was educated in Attleboro public schools.

He resided in Attleboro for most of his life with the exception of more recent years when he resided in Rhode Island prior to returning to Attleboro when he became ill earlier this year.

Mr. Medeiros was employed as a cook at restaurants throughout Rhode Island and Block Island.

Along with his family, he attended the Assembly of God, South Attleboro.

His favorite pastimes included reading, cooking and fresh and salt water fishing. He treasured the times spent with his daughter, nephew and three nieces.

In addition to his parents, he leaves a daughter: Jessica L. Medeiros of Fall River; a brother: Dennis M. Medeiros and his wife, Alison L. (Rothemich) Medeiros, of Warwick; two sisters: Jane E. Fontaine and her husband, Robert W. Fontaine, of Attleboro and Julie A. Medeiros of Attleboro; a nephew and three nieces.

At his request, visitation has been respectfully omitted.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service Celebrating His Life on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 7:00 PM at the Assembly of God, 1052 Newport Avenue, South Attleboro with the Rev. Michael Montag, officiating.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Steven may be made to the Salvation Army, 20 Pitman Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02906.
