To my cousins Valerie Ann, Janie Lee and David Scott, I give all my heart for you to share and draw from as you say goodbye to your mother and my Aunt Sue. When I was a child I was told that I was a birthday present for Aunt Sue. It was something I held onto, that I was a gift for someone. And someone as full of life as our Aunt Sue. As we grew up, she regaled us with spicy stories of her life as a young military wife, dancing on tables in Acupulco and living in France. It all sounded so...

Although my memories are few, all of them are so fond. We will miss you Aunt Sue.

My mom was the most influential woman in my life. She was my fun-loving mama that was naturally gifted with charisma. Her energetic outlook on life was infectious. I was blessed to witness the depths of strength, courage and determination in the most difficult of circumstances. Her faith kept her focused with the truth about her salvation. I will miss her nurturing touch, our girl talks, and I am humbled by the loss of what I have taken for granted. She was so much fun to do things with and...

Sue loved her children, grandchildren, other family members and an abundance of friends. She cooked for days in preparing shrimp gumbo for Super Bowl parties. What a delicious treat for her friends. She loved to go to TCU football games and was so fond of LaDainian Tomlinson. I will miss talking with her about almost anything; she was such a good listener. I will miss you my dear Sue.

I'll miss my Auntie Sue, a woman of deep faith, who gave of herself and touched my heart in many ways. She was a integral part of my family ties woven through the years. She's in God's tender, loving care. David, Daniel, Cristina and I will always have fond memories of times with Aunt Sue. Our prayers are with her family.

I am grateful to have had a grandma that loved me unconditionally. I will always remember the encouraging things she told me. Even though I am sad that she is no longer here, I have peace in knowing she is in Heaven with her husband and countless loved ones.

P.S. Don't worry Grandma, I'll make sure Maggie's taken care of. I love you and look forward to seeing you again one day.
