Walter Pappas and Ray Spence

Walt was a good guy, both in his career life and his personal life. I knew him for over 40 years, in his work with IRAQ and in social life. We took a photo a couple of years ago together, which I attach. Such a handsome guy. Walter had a rich, and rewarding life.

My husband and I have fond memories of Walt for the past 40+ years, during his career in setting national governmental telecommunications policy, and his association with friends at the Federal Communications Commission. We will remember him as always finding positive things to say, no matter what the conversation, and was caring about people across the board. He loved people and the joys that the world afforded him, and his photography reflected so many beautiful things seen thru his...

For as long as I have known Mr. Pappas, he has always been pleasant and giving. If you're looking for an intelligent conversion he's the guy. He does this thing that I love, I would tell him someone birthdate he would response back with what days of the week it land on.
I WILL TRUELY MISS YOU.
My deepest regret is not getting to talk to you before your passing.
Mrs. Pappas my condolences to you and your family.

Dear Shirley

We hope you are surrounded by loved ones to help ease the passing of "your beloved Walter".

He touched the lives of everyone who know him and he became "our beloved Walter" too.

You were the love of "our beloved Walter's" life and he gave all his love to you always. "Our beloved Walter" was the happiest with enthusiasm when he was with you and telling us how wonderful you are.

We missed your Annual Holiday Card always with a beautiful picture of both...

Sandy and family ~ I saw this in the paper this week and we would like to offer our condolences. How wonderful to have had your dad in your life for so many years! May you remember your dad with more smiles than tears in the days ahead.

I never knew anyone more alive than Walter. He was always curious, always ready to go and do and have fun. In his 90s he would dance the jitterbug with me like a youngster. Walter was also smart as a whip and an amazing conversationalist. To say I loved him is too weak...I adored him...and I'll miss him as a friend who filled my life even from too long a distance. May he rest in peace and know we will always be thinking of him.

To the kids, sorry to hear of your Dads passing. Not surprised he lived so long, he was always in shape. God Bless you all
